Saturday night, we gathered at Wittenberg biology prof Richard Phillips's family's picture-perfect cabin (bear rug and everything!) where Richard fired up the grill and cooked up some Bubba Burgers for us. Sat around the table over burgers and dogs and a handout of Southern phrases we might could hear while we're in the area. We were introducing ourselves around the table and sharing what each of hopes to get out of the week when somebody spotted the caramel cake Dr. Phillips's mom and dad had provided for us. Yum!
